This popular itinerary offers a great mix of hiking and discovery in a succinct 1 week vacation. The route takes you over the rolling Cotswold countryside and into the pretty honey-colored villages where immaculate gardens drip with purple wisteria and scented roses. Historic stately homes and ancient sites are in abundance, and you have plenty of time to visit them. The loop trail travels from Moreton-in-Marsh southwards to Burton-on-the-Water with its famous low-arched bridges, and then has overnights in Broadway and Chipping Campden before completing the circle. Mix in the tea rooms with jam and scones, welcoming country pubs serving pints of real ale and comfy B&B accommodation with the delightful hiking, and you’ll fall in love with this precious corner of England.
