Hike Switzerland’s western section of the Via Alpina from Grindelwald to Montreux on this inn-to-inn active adventure through some of Switzerland’s most varied alpine scenery. Beginning in the epic Bernese Oberland, the route moves through high alpine mountain passes, open meadows, and traditional villages before gradually descending toward sparkling Lake Geneva. This West section is defined by its strong sense of transition: shifting from rugged alpine landscapes into vineyards and lakeside towns on the beautiful Swiss Riviera. Each day brings changing scenery on well-marked trails, with comfortable hotels or mountain inns and luggage transfer included, allowing you to focus fully on the hiking experience from start to finish.
